All of the photos in the gallery were taken in a kayak or boat. It's risky, carrying an expensive camera and lens in a small kayak that can tip over at any time. I try to minimize the risks by using a very stable kayak and staying on flat, calm water. I'm still taking a chance, but the wildlife I see and get to photograph outweighs the potential loss of equipment. I see more animals while I'm on the water than I ever would in a blind or walking around.
